Spelling Rules
  • Submitted manuscripts must be appropriate to the purpose and scope of the journal.
  • Only those manuscripts approved by every individual author and that were not published before in or sent to another journal are accepted for evaluation.
  • The studies submitted for publication must be prepared in accordance with the academic spelling rules and with either Turkish or English language. If deemed necessary, articles in other languages may be accepted.
  • Master’s and doctoral students, together with their advisors (first author student – second author advisor faculty member), can send their work to the journal.
  • Only one article of the same author can be processed in a year and published if it passes the referees.
  • After the article is sent to the Journal for publication, the names of any of the authors cannot be deleted from the list of authors without the written consent of all authors, a new name cannot be added as an author, and the order of authors cannot be changed.
  • The Copyright Agreement Form must be signed with a blue pen and uploaded to the system as a PDF. The form can be filled out in separate copies by authors from different institutions. However, all signatures must be signed with a blue pen and combined as a SINGLE PDF, and uploaded to the system.
  • The plagiarism rate report of the articles to be sent to the journal should be obtained by the author and sent with the article. The similarity rate should not be more than 20% for the publication of the study. The similarity rate of the submitted articles is also scanned by our journal using the Turnitin program.
  • The opinions put forward in the articles published in the journal bind their authors and the legal responsibility of the articles belongs to their authors. No copyright fee is paid to the authors whose articles are published.
  • For articles that require Ethics Committee approval, Ethics Committee approval should be obtained and this approval (committee name, date and number) should be stated on the first page of the article and in the method section. https://trdizin.gov.tr/about#applicationAndCriterias
  • Article proposals should be prepared by downloading The Article Template from the web page of our journal.
  • All expenses of the journal are covered by the Publisher. The publication of articles in the journal and the execution of article processes are not subject to a fee. No processing fee or submission fee is charged for articles submitted to the journal or accepted for publication.

4. Copyright and intellectual property rights of the author(s) or employer(s) of the author(s), if any, are reserved. The author(s) undertake(s) that the publisher is not responsible for any claims or lawsuits to be filed by third parties due to copyright infringement, and that all responsibility belongs to them.
5. The author(s) undertake(s) that there is no criminal or illegal statement in the article and that no illegal materials and methods are used while conducting the research.

 

Article Submission Rules
The articles submitted to the Sociological Context should be prepared in accordance with the American Psychological Association (APA) 6.0 or İSNAD 2 reference systems in terms of footnote, bibliography, and style. Articles formatted other than the mentioned reference systems will not be accepted. The submitted article should not have been published before and should not be submitted to any other journal for evaluation.
Notes for Book Reviewers
The title of your review should include the following::
  • Author’s or editor’s full name
  • Book title
  • Year of publication
  • Place of publication
  • Publishing house
  • Page count
  • ISBN
  • The submitted review for Journal of Sociological Context should be between 1000 and 1500 words.
Ethics Committee Approval
Studies requiring Ethics Committee approval are as follows.
  • All kinds of research conducted with qualitative or quantitative approaches that require data collection from participants using questionnaires, interviews, focus group work, observation, experimentation, interview techniques.
  • Use of humans and animals (including material / data) for experimental or other scientific purposes,
  • Clinical studies on humans,
  • Research on animals,
  • Retrospective studies in accordance with the law on protection of personal data,
In addition; Stating that the “informed consent form” was obtained in case reports, Obtaining and specifying permission from the owners for the use of scales, questionnaires and photographs belonging to others, Stating that the copyright regulations are complied with for the intellectual and artistic works used. Plagiarism Evaluation Process
  • The similarity report is made by the author using similarity programs such as Turnitin and is uploaded to the required section while the study is uploaded to the system.
  • In the settings, only “Exclude Bibliogaphy” and “Exclude sources that are less than: 5 words” settings must be used.
  • The similarity rate of the submitted articles is also made by our journal with the Turnitin program.
  • Studies with a similarity rate of more than 20% in the entire study as a result of the screening are not taken into pre-evaluation
